Hand built functional and decorative ceramics inspired by the female form, nature and textile textures.
I am a Ceramic Artist, based in Leeds. After studying Fine Art Ceramics at Bretton Hall, I spent many years working in art galleries, craft and heritage retail in Yorkshire and London (Yorkshire Sculpture Park, Royal Academy of Arts).
My work is inspired by the female form, nature, and textile textures. I am currently making earthenware, coil-built, figurative vases/sculptures with underglaze lace prints, and slab-built forms with lace and nature texture imprints.
Initially inspired by ancient fertility symbols, such as the Venus of Willendorf, my figurative work explores the beauty of the female form in harmony with nature.
All my pieces are hand-built, one-off, unique originals that are both functional and decorative.
Thank you for visiting my stall and showing an interest in my work. Pease send me a direct message if you are interested in any of my pieces, have any questions or would like to commission a piece.
