I handmake keepsake small collector teddy bears for that special person.
My name is Susan and I handmake small keepsake collector teddy bears and furry Animals.
I use a variety of fabrics from mohair, faux fur and specialist fabrics, using the traditional way of making each bear with metal cotter pins, hard board joints and English glass eyes. Plus hand stitching each bear.
I specialise in traditional style of bears showcasing smaller versions of teddy bears that I grew up with.
When I was a child I had my own bear, I was only 4 when I had a trauma that caused my anxiety, so talking to a bear helped me deal with this. This is why I enjoy seeing them come alive, so to speak, from a piece of material to a special keepsake that will be cherished forever.
I also dabble in media art and have created paintings, decorated small boxes and wine bottles with different mediums.
