Hey, I’m Sharlene, creator of …bySLH.
Graduating with a degree in Visual Communication, I’ve always had a creative passion so initially I started making handmade cards which led onto handmade wedding stationery. Now I tend to do most of my work digitally. There’s a huge gap in the market for the range of greeting cards & stationery that I create. The greeting cards industry is saturated but cards that represent people of colour are few and far between…it’s changing but there’s still some way to go. I specialised in illustration for my degree but I decided that I wanted something straight to the point and edgy. Words just stand out, added with some patois and humour…creating my USP.
