Hi I’m Sue from Cosima’s, a small family run business based in the heart of Essex. I’ve loved sewing since a young age, as a child and teenager you could often find me sewing clothes and children’s soft toys.
When my daughter was young I discovered laminated cotton, I wanted a cooking apron for her that was waterproof and wipeclean but could not find one small enough. For a while I made aprons, this then increased to bags and accessories for the family and home, and so the business grew.
Laminated cotton is a lovely fabric to work with, it gives bags stability without being ridgid, is showerproof, easily wiped clean and durable.
