Handmade African inspired Accessories and Homeware, created with sustainably soured African textiles and up cycled materials.
Mashona Designs was founded by Chantel, a self confessed colour lover.
I taught myself to sew, creating colourful accessories and launched the business in late 2020.
The focal point for all the designs are vibrant African textiles inspired by my Zimbabwean heritage. In each design the traditional fabrics have been sustainably sourced either as a remnant or from local African artisans who produce small batch, hand printed fabrics.
Some designs also feature up cycled materials such as hessian coffee sacks sourced from a Sussex coffee roasters.
Mainly featuring accessories but as the business develops more homeware will be added to the collection.
