Mongoose Stained Glass first began trading in 2005. Petri Anderson AMGP started the company having learnt his trade and built up his skill base at Chapel Studio.
For the first decade we focused on the UK Ecclesiastical market undertaking both new commissions and restoration projects. In the mix were also a few commissions for City of London livery companies but they were less numerous.
As the company flourished we worked further afield, notably collaborating with a company in Trinidad to design and paint two church windows in Port of Spain and also a scheme of 5 large traditional windows for a newly built wedding Chapel in Nagoya, Japan.
In recent years some of our focus has shifted to fine art autonomous stained glass panels inspired by nature. These can be artificially back lit with discrete led lighting panels removing the need for traditional window openings to illuminate them. This relatively new application of a traditional craft opens up a whole new realm of possibilities for visionary interior designers grappling with low light scenarios.
