Hello, I am Lou Roberts and I am the Director of LR Virtual Assistant.
I provide Remote HR Administration Support to HR Consultants and General Admin Support to other Small Business owners.
My business is based in sunny South Devon and I set up back in 2019 after being made redundant for the second time in two years!
After spending most of my career working in the HR Industry I decided to take a leap of faith in 2019 as I was finding it difficult to manage my career around two young children of school age.
I just needed some flexibility to be able to attend the various activities that happens around school and so that I could give my kids the support and care that they need at such a young age.
So, as there were no suitable positions around that met my circumstances I decided to set up and offer General Admin and also Social Media support in the first instance and so that I could have a change from the usual HR Admin I was used to.
This worked out OK, but I wasn’t generating the income that I needed, so after joining a VA Mentor Group in 2021 I eventually took the plunge, put my big girl pants on and niched my services to HR Admin…..the rest is now history!
I secured several clients towards the back end of 2021 and from there they have recommended me by word of mouth to other HR Consultants and my work has boomed!
The work that I provide is essentially HR Admin related but I found that I could really add my USP into the mix and add in Social Media Support and Email Campaign Design too.
My love of creativity also is included in the services I offer so lead magnet creation and document creation are all services I provide and by combining all of these things it provides the HR Consultant with so much value. It also means that they don’t have to pay out for three different services – saving money and time which essentially is what my business objectives are for these super busy business owners!
What sets my business apart from most (I have been told) is that I am always there to support, nothing is ever too much trouble and my level of customer service is top notch! The fact that I love to support my clients shines through and I love seeing them succeed and grow their businesses with the help of my services.
I now have grown my own business so much after almost 4 years that I have taken on two associates to support my daily activities and also am now seeking a third to help with client work and which will only help me grow even further.
I feel so proud to have been able to win this award as Best B2B Business and look forward to all the benefits it will bring to my business!
