G&T’s delivered straight to your door, what more could anyone want? I Love Gin have completely nailed the concept, giving you the opportunity to sample some wonderful craft and artisan gins and tonics/mixers.
Let’s be honest, there are so many gins out there these days, how do you know which ones to buy? And what about if it doesn’t tickle your taste buds? How do you ever create that perfect gin?
Well, this is where the amazing I Love Gin comes into your life.
You can subscribe to their genius Gin Club every month (and cancel/pause at any time) for only £14 per month and get 2 miniature gins and 2 tonics in every box. Plus, you will also get a handy recipe booklet, giving you a story behind the gins and the perfect way to serve and garnish them.
I found a Saturday night and spent the evening with my Dad as I know he loves trying new gins. I’d got the ice ready in the freezer, my gin glasses on the side and made a start on preparing some garnishes. After all, with such a beautifully packaged box, you’ve got to present your garnishes in the right way too.
We made a start on the Pink Pepper Gin, created by Audemus Spirits, and tasted it on its own. I loved the pepper and cardamon notes in this one as it gave it another dimension. This was then to be paired with the Aromatic Fever Tree Tonic Water (as advised by the recipe booklet) and garnished with grapefruit peel. I loved the colour created in the glass and the flavours added by the tonic too. I’ve got to say, I am now a Pink Pepper Gin enthusiast!
Next up was the Aber Falls Welsh Dry Gin which again we tried on it’s own first. This had a sweet flavour to it and was really refreshing (slightly dangerous!). This was paired with the Elderflower Fever Tree Tonic Water, then garnished with a lime wedge and fresh mint. I absolutely loved the Elderflower, it absolutely complimented the notes of juniper, liquorice, angelica and coriander seeds in this gin.
I think reading the stories behind the gins, as well as how best to serve them, really added to the experience. You get enough G&T in the box to make 4, so it’s definitely a great way to try new gins and add some enjoyment to your evening.
So, what are you waiting for? Get your friends over for the evening and impress them with some wonderful gin and tonics. You even get a £5 voucher to spend on Gin in your box, so you can treat yourself to a larger version of your favourite! Or, you can easily add a 2nd box every month for just £10 extra (usually £14 per month). They will send you 2 of the same boxes each month, at the same time, and you save £4 compared to buying 2 single memberships.
Thank you so much to I Love Gin for sending me their gin-tastic box to review. I certainly had a wonderful time and look forward to gifting some boxes to friends and family in the coming months as I particularly love the different gift options available. You can also follow them on Instagram | Twitter | Facebook and keep up to date with their gin news and offers.
Happy drinking!
