I’m Amy, founder of Londe Botanics, making natural skincare and well-being oils from 100% locally grown ingredients. I’m based in Bristol but we use plant oils from all over the UK with everything blended and bottled in England.

I started Londe in 2019 when I moved here from Australia and fell in love with the countryside. I was amazed that no one else was making locally-grown natural skincare and the response to our first batch was incredible. Now we work with growers, producers and some of the UK’s most experienced skincare experts to create our beautifully natural, award-winning blends.

The current range includes our original Rosemary and Lavender Body Oil and the best-selling Evening Oil with chamomile aromatics to help promote a restful night’s sleep. Our Starflower Serum is unscented and perfect for anyone needing the gentlest care. The range is complemented by eco-home spa accessories from Hydréa London and skincare guru Sarah Hazlewood is a regular contributor with brilliant tips and advice for our followers.

I’m constantly inspired by the wealth of independent makers and retailers around Bristol and Somerset. There’s a real sense of community and support here, which has really been needed over the past couple of years. But my main inspiration comes from the natural world, the folklore and traditional uses for the plants we use in our blends.

‘Londe’ is the old English word for land and everything we do is driven by botanicals. Our ingredients are decided by local availability, the blends are based on how they work together. We don’t use any additives so dark glass bottles and packaging we use are the best way to preserve the freshness and potency of the oils. The botanicals are always the focus and each decision is based on letting them work their magic.

As well as a commitment to UK grown, we use organic ingredients wherever available, bee-friendly crops and fruit oils that are by-products of the beverage industry. Our blends are bottled in Dorset and hand-finished in the Bristol studio. All of Londe’s products are naturally vegan-friendly and cruelty-free.

In terms of the future, I’m happy to keep things small. It gives me the flexibility to work around a growing family and adapt to an ever-changing business landscape. I’m really proud of the quality we send out and the beautiful messages we receive back from customers always makes my day.
