Hopefully some of you will have been following me on my super cool I Love Gin monthly journey. A wonderful world of G&T’s delivered straight to your door and this month’s box is The Winter Elixir.
As a small business blogger I’m also discovering some fabulous brands and businesses too thanks to I Love Gin. Quite frankly, I didn’t realise there were so many tonics available out there. It’s really easy to get caught up in buying your regular one from a Supermarket. And there’s nothing wrong with that, but the I Love Gin box is the perfect way to explore your taste buds and find some new favourites!
As always, every box is beautifully packaged, and it’s branded right from the minute it arrives. Inside you’ll find 2 gins and 2 tonics, a recipe booklet and a £5 voucher (to use towards a full sized bottle of gin).
The recipe booklet not only gives you background to each gin and tonic, but also some inspiration as to how best to serve them. Whilst it’s good to have a guide, if I’m going to be tasting gins I do like to have a little platter of garnishes, just to experiment with.
This month’s gins are Pin Gin from Lincolnshire and J.J. Whitley Violet Gin, inspired by the countryside, packed together with 2 bottles of fabulous Lixir Tonic Water. Indian and a Blood Orange and Cinnamon varieties. I’m a huge fan of the latter, purely because I love the fruity taste and with a slice of orange, it goes perfectly with the Pin Gin. The Violet Gin on the other hand is best paired with the Indian Tonic (and a cherry!) and looks so pretty in a glass.
The I Love Gin subscription box is just like a monthly advent calendar, with the opportunity to try some incredible gins and pair them with beautiful tonics. I’m a huge fan and love receiving my monthly boxes, I get so excited to see what G&T pairings are inside. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to treat themselves, or buy a gift for someone, and if you don’t believe me have a look here and here!
There’s nothing wrong with a weeknight tipple!
Cheers!
