Meet Vintiques of Surrey

I’m Luke from Vintiques of Surrey, we are located in the leafy suburbs of Kenley, having only been open since April 2021 we’ve been received so well by the local community along with a growing presence on social media.

How it all began:

From a young age I had a keen interest in “old things” I would sit and watch Bargain Hunt on my lunch breaks, this then developed into buying annual copies of the Judith Miller antique book range, I would sit for hours flicking through these books (still do) in order to familiarise myself with the contents it held not knowing a love for older items would turn into my career.

My Inspirations:

I’ve been inspired by many shows and dealers in the trade throughout the years and have learnt most of what I know from the back of these, a big favourite of mine has always been Bargain Hunt and Antiques Road Trip, in more recent years I’ve been obsessed with Salvage Hunters and The Bidding Room, all great shows with so much to learn from.

This isn’t just a job/business, Vintiques of Surrey was created and is driven from pure passion which developed from a hobby. I enjoy what we do every single day and it’s true what they say, when you do a job you love you never work a day in life!

What makes us different:

When you visit Vintiques of Surrey it’s not just a shop, we have tried to create an experience for our customers, a place you can visit and reminisce on the good old days, take your time browsing through our 4 rooms bursting with vintage, antique and retro items in surroundings which some customers say has a museum feel with the added benefit of being able to purchase the items on view giving a unique experience.

Our Ethics:

All of our stock comes from our sister company Clearance Grafters, we have always aimed to avoid landfill whether this be by reselling, donating or recycling we do not believe if throwing things away.

Vintiques of Surrey has been the perfect avenue for us to find new homes for forgotten Pre loved treasures uncovered by the Clearance Grafters, this also allows us to stock unique one off items as well as knowing all our items are fresh to the market giving an added element of uniqueness to the process we have.
