As a small business blogger I absolutely love discovering new businesses (durr!). But when they are also local to me, just like Roundwood is, this is even more exciting.
Emily and Rupert combined their passion for gin and love of the nearby woods, and after two years experimenting and perfecting their very own recipe, renovating their barn into a distillery, and distilling their very first batch to be bottled and sealed by hand, Roundwood Gin was launched earlier this year!
Based in rural Cambridgeshire, I absolutely love the countryside feel to the entire brand, reflected in the design. I’m sure you’ll agree with me that it is a beautiful bottle! I think we all know that gin is one of those drinks where the bottle plays a major part, and this has definitely been pulled off here.
Bringing a subtle woodland twist to a classic London Dry recipe, the botanicals include juniper, coriander seed, angelica root, elderflower and elderberries. Each one plays an essential role without shouting above another.
Sounding up your street? Well, between now and Christmas, Roundwood Gin will be on the road, attending their share of fabulously festive events, fairs and markets. Here is a list of where they will be and when… don’t forget to pop the dates in your diaries!

They would make such a lovely present for any gin lovers out there. Not only is it perfect with some orange peel and thyme but it’s so stylish that it’s a must to add to any gin collection!
Let the good times BE-GIN! As always, #ShopSmall and support a Small Biz!
