The Story Behind The Scented Bag Company

I set up The Scented Bag Company as a hobby and now it’s taken on a bigger part of my life. I love creating things and have started with the Heat cushions and am looking to expand. All handmade by myself in Britain, products are sourced locally (with the exception of the lavender buds from Provence).

All items are handmade by me, I use wheat grain, dried lavender buds & fragrance oils to make all of my scented bags. As well as scented items I also make fabric storage baskets, iPad Covers, drawstring and cosmetic bags.

My large drawstring bags make really good project bags for any knitters or crocheters out there. And the storage baskets can keep hair accessories tidy, phone chargers or fill with smellies as a gift for a special occasion.

The Scented Bag Company offers so many handmade items it’s really lovely to see. And importantly, handmade in the UK too! Beautiful designs, high quality items and a range that is eye-catching and thoughtful. Aside from the wonderful scented wheat bags, which I’ll talk more about in a minute, like with many small businesses, quality and value is something that goes hand in hand. My Picks

Natalie, owner of The Scented Bag Company, very kindly let me choose the design of a Scented Wheat Bag to send to me. I’ve always loved wheat bags and have used them before to soothe pain or to help feel relaxed. It took me ages to decide as there were so many pretty designs but in the end I went for this gorgeous pattern. Simple and I love the colour too.

When it arrived I could smell the gorgeous lavender scent through the packaging it was lovely! And whilst we are talking about packaging, it was beautifully presented, which is always great to see. The material of the bag is very high quality as well. I recently pulled a muscle in my back so it’s been ideal timing and I can vouch for the fact that it has definitely helped ease the pain. The bags can be heated (via a microwave or radiator) or also used cold (if you put in the fridge or freezer). They are so soothing and I can’t recommend one enough, especially as an alternative method of treatment/healing.

Most of all, they can be reused and reused so many times, it’s like a lifetime investment!

• I love that my wheat bag came with a beautiful leaflet containing information on how to use the wheat bag and in which circumstances it could be used.
• Also inside was a gorgeous business card containing all details of how you can buy from this Small Biz.
• Natalie also goes out of her way to make wheat bags of different sizes upon request which I think is a really nice thing to offer.
